Products & Catalog
What are product variants?
Some products are offered in different versions (e.g., sizes, flavors). These are displayed as variants of a main product, so you can select the appropriate option directly.
Why don't I see prices for some products?
Guests (unregistered users) generally cannot see prices. As a registered user, it is possible that you may not see prices from certain providers even after registration, but instead see a button "Request prices".
This is a function set by the seller in which you must first be accepted as a customer by the seller themselves. The seller will be notified directly and you will receive an info email as soon as the prices have been unlocked for you.
What are product bundles?
Bundles consist of multiple related products that must be ordered together to meet certain minimum order quantities. The seller determines the quantities and combinations for the bundle.
Can I set up product notifications?
Yes, you can configure notifications to be informed about new products. Filter by keywords, categories, or specific sellers and set the times at which you want to receive notifications.
What do the delivery time specifications mean?
Every seller provides an estimated delivery time (minimum and maximum in days). This can vary depending on the product and delivery location and is not binding but rather a guideline for the delivery time.
Is there a minimum order value?
Some sellers set a minimum order value for their goods. This will be displayed to you at checkout if it has not been reached. The checkout offers additional features to quickly add more items from a seller to reach the minimum order value.
Can I download product data sheets or declarations?
Yes, provided the seller has made product attachments available (e.g., PDFs with technical specifications), you can download these directly from the product page or through your order.
Orders & Checkout
Why are my orders split by seller?
Since Trayed is a marketplace, you order from various sellers. Each order is submitted separately to the respective seller and processed individually. Often, sellers have different minimum order values or quantities that must be considered for a valid order.
What payment methods are available for orders?
Depending on the seller, you have the option of purchasing on account or prepayment. The available payment methods will be displayed to you at checkout.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, you can cancel an order as long as the seller has not yet confirmed it. After confirmation, please contact the seller directly.
What is an order correction?
The seller can suggest changes to your order before confirmation, for example quantity adjustments, price changes, or substitution of a product if individual items are no longer available. You will be notified and can accept or reject the correction.
What about the shipping costs?
Currently, shipping costs cannot be displayed during ordering, as wholesale orders often need to be packaged individually and prices depend on the day. With your order confirmation, you will receive information about the shipping costs, which you can still decline and cancel your order if desired.
Can I track the shipment?
Yes, as soon as the seller has provided a shipping service provider and a tracking number, you can view the shipping status of your order.
Can I order from multiple sellers at the same time?
Yes, you can add products from different sellers to your shopping cart. During checkout, a separate order will be created for each seller and all values will be verified.
For sellers
What are pricing rules? How to set discounts
With pricing rules, you set up automatic discounts and pricing logic for your customers. For a more detailed description of how the rules work, you can find it in our documentation.

Can I correct orders?
Yes, before shipping you can adjust quantities, change prices, exchange products, or remove individual items. However, do this carefully. The buyer must then confirm this correction and can also completely cancel the order after a correction.
We recommend using the correction option only after prior agreement with the buyer.
Do I need to provide my own terms and conditions?
Yes, as a seller you must deposit your own Terms and Conditions (T&C) as a PDF. For each order, the buyer must confirm both the platform T&C and your seller T&C in addition to the platform terms. This is your protection and the basis for every legal transaction on the platform.
What payment methods can I offer?
You can enable purchase on account and/or prepayment as payment methods. Purchase on account can be tied to a minimum number of prior prepayment orders from the respective buyer to ensure the creditworthiness of new customers.

Postage & Delivery
Who is responsible for shipping?
The respective seller is responsible for the packaging and shipping of the ordered goods. Trayed mediates the order but does not currently handle the shipping itself.
How long does the delivery take?
The delivery time depends on the seller and product. Each seller provides an estimated delivery time (minimum and maximum in days) which is displayed on the product page.
It should be noted that these are not binding delivery dates but rather a rough estimate.
Are shipping costs charged?
This varies depending on the seller. Some sellers charge shipping costs separately, while others factor these directly into the product prices.
Free delivery (Frei Haus) shipments are displayed directly on the product. Otherwise, you will see a notice that the shipping costs will be communicated with your order confirmation.
The shipping costs are communicated after order confirmation and can be rejected if the costs are too high. In that case, however, the entire order will be cancelled.
How are the shipping costs confirmed?
If a seller notifies you of shipping costs after order confirmation, you will receive a notification. If the shipping costs are not rejected within 24 hours, they are considered accepted and the order will be processed.
Which shipping service providers are used?
The choice of shipping service provider is the seller's responsibility and cannot be influenced by us as a platform.
Cancellation & Complaints
Can I cancel an order as a buyer?
Yes, as long as the seller has not yet confirmed the order, you can cancel the order at any time.
Can the seller cancel an order?
Yes, the seller can cancel an order, for example in case the goods are not available. You will be informed about this via email.
What happens if the seller rejects my order?
If your order is rejected, you will receive a notification. You will not incur any costs. The seller can provide a reason for the rejection.
How do returns work?
Once an order has been shipped, you can create a complaint directly from the order, either for individual items or the entire order. You describe your concern, can leave a comment for each item, and add attachments if needed. Further communication then takes place via the complaint system between buyer and seller.
If no agreement is reached, Trayed can be brought in as a platform to mediate the complaint.
The return conditions themselves are governed by the terms and conditions of the respective seller, since the purchase agreement exists between you and the seller.
Who do I contact if the goods are damaged?
File a complaint regarding the affected order. The seller will be notified and will respond to you during the complaint process. The seller is responsible for the delivered goods. If no agreement is reached, you can contact Trayed support.
