  Create a product

As a seller, you create products on the products page via **New product**. If an agent manages your company, they take care of creating products.

Choose the product type
-----------------------

When creating a product you choose the **product type**: **Standard**, **Variant product** or **Bundle**. The type cannot be changed later. Learn more under [variants and bundles](/en/help/docs/products/variants-and-bundles).

Enter the details
-----------------

The details are spread across tabs:

- **General:** name, brand, GTIN, SKU (article number), description and categories, as well as stock, unit, best-before date and further product properties.
- **Prices:** price and conditions, see [prices and tiers](/en/help/docs/products/prices-and-tiers).
- **Images** and **Documents:** see [images and attachments](/en/help/docs/products/images-and-attachments).

Required fields include name, description, unit and stock (unless stock is unlimited). If a required field is missing, a note points you to the affected area.

Save and activate
-----------------

Save with **Save**. New products start out inactive. Use **Activate** to make a product visible, provided all required details are complete. The number of active products depends on your plan.

Duplicate, archive, restore
---------------------------

- **Duplicate:** creates up to ten inactive copies.
- **Archive:** removes a product from the list (not a permanent deletion).
- **Restore:** brings a product back via the **Archived** tab.
